GI Asia Pacific was founded in 2025 by Grant Williamson as the principal holding company for a portfolio of ventures shaping the future of health, science and technology across the region.
We are not a traditional fund. We don't fund and forget. We own and operate — often as co-founders and active directors — working alongside teams from inception through scale.
Headquartered in Melbourne, our portfolio reaches into Thailand, Singapore and Vietnam, with planned expansion of consumer brands into the United States and United Kingdom. Each company is held for the long term and built around a single conviction: that the next decade of health and science breakthroughs will reshape what it means to age well, treat disease and access care.
The most interesting companies of the next decade will be the ones that give people, and the systems that care for them, more good years.— Grant Williamson, Founder
We don't flip companies. We hold, compound and build for decades. Every venture in our portfolio is structured for patient ownership — not a fast exit.
We are co-founders, board directors and active operators inside our companies. Twenty-five years of healthcare and technology operating experience comes to every venture we back.
Every company we own works on a single question: how do we extend healthy years? For people, for animals, for the systems that care for both.
Grant founded GI Asia Pacific in 2025 after a twenty-five-year career building and scaling healthcare technology businesses across Australia and Asia.
He was most recently General Manager of Precedence Health Care, a subsidiary of Sonic Healthcare (ASX: SHL) and one of Australia's largest listed healthcare companies. There he held complete P&L responsibility and led the successful replatforming of the company's core technology — the work that prompted his transition out of corporate life and into building his own portfolio.
Earlier in his career he held senior executive roles at Unified Healthcare Group, Zedmed Medical Software Solutions and Medtech Global, and led LowestBid Asia as Chief Executive from Singapore. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Victoria University of Wellington.
